As of Monday 5 October 2026, we are temporarily closing our centre and redirecting our patients to The Doctors Onehunga, 73 Church Street, Onehunga, Auckland.
If you are not enrolled at The Doctors Mt. Roskill, you can:
- Access care through our urgent care clinic at The Doctors Onehunga or find one of The Doctors medical centres near you.
- Get online appointments with The Doctors Online (Mon - Fri, 8AM - 5PM) or Tend's Online Now service (24/7)
If you are enrolled with us at The Doctors Mt. Roskill, you will pay your normal enrolled patient rates if you are seen between 8am and 5pm, from Monday-Friday.
You can access care at The Doctors Onehunga:
- Through their Urgent Care Clinic for practitioner care
- With their nursing team for immunisations, cervical screening and other nurse-led services

We will have online appointments available to you through our Book on Behalf service. To make appointments please call 09 634 5184 and our reception team can book an online appointment for you. Our email address remains the same: admin@mr.thedoctors.co.nz.
We understand your concerns and frustrations and apologise for any inconvenience it may cause you in the short term. We remain committed to meeting your healthcare needs and felt this was the best option for patients and clinical staff.
As with many other practices in New Zealand’s primary health sector, recruitment is a challenge. We are working hard to recruit clinical staff to the practice. Rest assured that we will return to The Doctors Mt Roskill once recruitment has been successful.

How much will I pay?
If you are seen, or your appointment is between 8am and 5pm, from Monday-Friday, you will pay normal enrolled patient rates.
Will the GP see my medical records?
Yes, the doctor will have access to your health records.
Can I still order my repeat prescriptions?
You can request a repeat prescription by using The Doctors App or calling us on 09 634 5184. All approved script requests will be completed within 3 business days. We advise that you order these before you run out to avoid delays.
If it’s urgent, can I get a same-day appointment?
The Doctors Onehunga have an Urgent Care Clinic who can look after acute care needs.
Does this impact how my results are managed?
We continue to manage your results as normal. Hospital visits, follow-ups, or abnormal test results will be escalated to our medical team to address with the patients directly.
